Health Measures Overview

The health and safety of sellers, partners, and employees remains our top priority. At Amazon Accelerate 2022, the following health measures will be in place. All attendees are required to comply with the health measures. Revisions will be made in accordance with guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and federal, state, and local requirements.

Vaccinations

All badge holders at Amazon Accelerate 2022 must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to checking in at the conference. The term- Fully vaccinated is defined by the Centers for Disease Control as "2 weeks after receiving recommended doses in their primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine". Alternatively, badge holders are able to provide a record of a negative COVID-19 test.

A record of COVID-19 vaccination or record of a negative COVID-19 test must be provided at onsite check-in to receive your Amazon Accelerate badge. Acceptable records include the attendee’s physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card or digital COVID-19 certificate, COVID-19 vaccine certificate, a photo of the attendee’s COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card or a digital verification of the attendee’s COVID-19 record from a smartphone application. The name on the attendee’s vaccination record must match their government-issued ID.

Masks

As of July 2022, masks are not required for attendees at Amazon Accelerate 2022. This is subject to change based on the Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Are masks required at Amazon Accelerate 2022?

What health protocols are in place at conference hotels?

Will I be required to maintain a 6-foot (2-meter) distance from other attendees at Amazon Accelerate 2022?

No. You will not be required to maintain a 6-foot (2-meter) distance during the conference.

What happens if I (or someone else) test positive for COVID-19 during or following Amazon Accelerate 2022?

If you test positive for COVID-19, please follow guidance provided by Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for testing, isolation, masking, distancing, and seeking medical guidance and contact the Amazon Accelerate help desk at helpdesk@amazonaccelerate.com.

Please follow case reporting guidance from the relevant public health department. More information can be found on the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) website. If any positive test is disclosed to us during Amazon Accelerate, we will suspend your in-person participation at the conference and issue a full refund if applicable.

Do I need to be vaccinated to attend Amazon Accelerate 2022 in-person?

All badge holders at Amazon Accelerate 2022 must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to checking in at the conference. Fully vaccinated is defined by the Centers for Disease Control as 2 weeks after receiving recommended doses in their primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Badge holders who are attending Amazon Accelerate 2022 who choose not to show a record of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are able to attend if the attendee provides a record of a negative COVID-19 test. The name on the attendee’s test record must match their government-issued ID.

Acceptable negative test results are limited to polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and antigen test results provided by a third-party laboratory no more than 24 hours prior to the start of the conference for an antigen test and 72 hours for a PCR test. Self-administered tests will not be accepted.

What date do I need to be vaccinated by to participate in Amazon Accelerate 2022?

Fully vaccinated is defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as 2 weeks after receiving recommended doses in their primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine. If you plan to check in on the first day of Amazon Accelerate 2022 badge pick-up (September 13, 2022), you need to receive your second dose in a 2-dose series or your single-dose vaccine no later than August 30, 2022.

How do I verify my COVID-19 vaccination to attend Amazon Accelerate 2022?

A record of COVID-19 vaccination or record of a negative COVID-19 test must be provided at onsite check-in to receive your Amazon Accelerate badge. Acceptable records include the attendee’s physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card or digital COVID-19 certificate, COVID-19 vaccine certificate, a photo of the attendee’s COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card or a digital verification of the attendee’s COVID-19 record from a smartphone application. The name on the attendee’s vaccination record must match their government-issued ID.

Will I also need to provide a record of a COVID-19 booster shot to attend Amazon Accelerate 2022?

No. Fully vaccinated is defined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as 2 weeks after receiving recommended doses in their primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Will you accept a record of a COVID-19 vaccine that is authorized or approved by the national health authority of the country where I got my vaccine but is not U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approved or authorized under the Emergency Use Authorization (EUA)?

Yes. We will accept a record of COVID-19 vaccinations authorized or approved by the national health authority of the country where they were administered. Unless otherwise defined by their national health authority, we will consider attendees fully vaccinated 2 weeks after receiving recommended doses in their primary series of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Acceptable records include the attendee’s physical COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card or digital COVID-19 certificate, a photo of the attendee’s COVID-19 vaccination/immunization card, or a digital verification of the attendee’s COVID-19 record from a smartphone application. The name on the attendee’s vaccination record must match their government-issued ID.

Will you accept record of a mixed (heterologous) regime of COVID-19 vaccinations if authorized or approved by the national health authority of the country where I got my vaccine?

Yes. If receiving two doses of different COVID-19 vaccine products is authorized or approved by the national health authority of the country where they were administered, we will still consider attendees fully vaccinated against COVID-19 2 weeks after their second dose in the 2-dose series.

Can I attend Amazon Accelerate 2022 with a record of a negative COVID-19 test instead of providing a record of vaccination against COVID-19?

Yes. Badge holders who are attending Amazon Accelerate 2022 who choose not to show a record of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 are able to attend if the attendee provides a record of a negative COVID-19 test. The name on the attendee’s test record must match their government-issued ID. Acceptable negative test results are limited to third-party laboratory-provided antigen and PCR results conducted no more than 24 hours prior to the start of the conference for an antigen test and 72 hours for a PCR test. Self-administered tests will not be accepted.

What date do I need to be tested for COVID-19 to participate in Amazon Accelerate 2022?

An acceptable negative COVID-19 antigen or PCR test result from a third-party laboratory will need to be taken no more than 24 hours for an antigen test and 72 hours for a PCR test prior to check-in on the first day of Amazon Accelerate 2022. Self-administered tests will not be accepted.

The name on your test result must match your government-issued ID.

Can I request a refund if I am not vaccinated against COVID-19 or cannot provide a record of a negative COVID-19 test?

If, due to COVID-19, government policies restrict your travel to the United States or you test positive for COVID-19, you will be issued a full refund of your registration fees via the original payment method. Event registrations may be transferred to another participant upon approval by Amazon Accelerate at its sole discretion.
